Poster Design for a Speculative Future: LGBTQism, a Religion.

Religion emerges as a way to justify our existence, and explain phenomenons that we, as humans, can’t seem to understand. This new religion venerates Mother Nature as the source of greatest power, while encouraging society to eventually disappear from the face of the Earth. If we were commissioned to come to Earth, then we must dedicate our efforts towards regenerating its resources for its eventual recovery and restoration of balance.
It rises against reproduction, as it believes that as humans, we are the one’s responsables for the environmental crisis and Earth’s decadent situation. Nevertheless, it does support adoption, as it believes that every human materialized as an Earthly Being for the higher mission of contributing to Mother Nature’s restoration. If we are the one’s to have caused the damage, then we are the ones responsables of restoring it.
Human presence on Earth has been devastating for the environment. The amount of natural resourced we have used exceeds the planet's ability to regenerate what has already been consumed, leaving our Ecological Footprint in negative numbers. The forests are getting smaller, natural water resources are becoming scarcer, the quality of the land is degrading and biological diversity is shrinking. Furthermore, dependence on fossil fuels generates CO2 emissions that the planet is unable to absorb.
Aligning itself with LGBTQ+ community’s values, this new religion venerates Nature as the greatest Evidence of Life; ephemeral Human presence on Earth as a means for Healing; Sunlight as the maximum expression of Renewing Power; Nature as the ultimate, benevolent and giving God; Her actions as a physical and terrestrial materialization of Magic; Serenity as the main pilar within a human’s relationship towards Nature; Spirit as the whole, final and valuable essence of our Beings. And all together? a Rainbow, a commitment of complete devotion of our Human Experience to Mother Nature.
LIFE HEALING SUNLIGHT NATURE MAGIC SERENITY SPIRIT
Throughout, ecological restoration is conceived as a holistic endeavor. Spirituality is conceived as the belief that connects anything with everything. There are no isolated actions, and as we reconnect with nature, we generate collective responsibility and greater inner harmony. Only one as a free-thinking individual gets to determine for oneself how to contribute, and the level at which one expresses that devotion. This applies to ones relationship to a Higher Entity, as human beings are not considered to be the most powerful force on Earth.
