Analysis of the Colosseum, using the element of light as a tool to explore different characteristics and feautres. “Transparent Colosseum”, a situation where the building is see-through and emphasizes features such as rate and rythm. The Colosseum’s charcter- istic repetition is highlighted through its oval-shaped structure, giving a sensation of “infinite”. The model allows light to preform inside and outside, emphasizing the sense of repetition and introducing the attribute of transparency, moving away from mass and getting closer to lightness.
